BRU - Hydrogeology

A designated « natural mineral water » must fulfil several requirements regarding its original level of purity, the stability and uniqueness of its composition or the conditions under which it is produced. BRU water only becomes a naturally sparkling, natural mineral water after a long journey, along which it acquires many virtues.

BRU is originally rain water. It needs 40 to 60 years of transformation before becoming the “beading water” that we drink. Its journey takes it through carbonate rocks, several hundred metres under the surface, from which it draws its carbon dioxide content.

When the water, having gradually gained a certain pressure, encounters a fault, it seeps naturally to the surface. That is the sparkling water of BRU emerging from the Earth.
